HALF MARATHON TRAINING HAS COMMENCED

With a rest day. 🙂

I signed up for the Fiddler’s Run half marathon on October 18th so I have 6 weeks of training time before then.

Is six weeks enough?

I think so.

I reviewed a bunch of different programs and decided to go with the Hal Higdon HM Novice 2 plan as it is pretty much straight up running.

The program is pretty simple; Three back-to-back runs through the week followed by a long run and cross-training session on the weekend.

I just finished off a bridge to 10k program last monday. That had me running some pretty decent weekly mileage (15-20mpw) and every run ended up being a long run so I don’t think I will have any issues starting later in this program.

Anyway, I’ll see you back here tomorrow after the first run of the program.
